Certificates of Analysis

Every research peptide released by Prime Lab Peptides is documented at the lot level. Identity, chromatographic purity, net peptide content and traceability are recorded for each batch before it is cleared — and the report is tied to the same lot number printed on the vial label.

What a Certificate of Analysis contains

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the analytical record of one specific production lot. It is not a marketing document and it is not transferable between batches. Each report states:

  • Identity — confirmed by mass spectrometry (LC–MS). The measured mass is compared against the expected molecular weight of the compound.
  • Chromatographic purity — measured by reverse-phase HPLC (RP–HPLC), reported as a percentage with the retention time of the main peak.
  • Net peptide content — the actual mass of peptide in the vial, distinct from total lyophilized mass (which includes counter-ions and residual solvents).
  • Lot number and release date — matching the label, so a vial in hand can always be traced back to its report.
  • Method and scope — which analytical method produced each result, and what that method does not cover.

How our batches are tested

Analysis is performed by an independent third-party laboratory, not in-house. A batch is not cleared for release until identity and purity results are returned and reviewed. The sequence is deliberately simple:

  1. Synthesis — the lot is produced and its lot number recorded.
  2. Third-party analysis — HPLC and MS confirm identity and purity on a sample drawn from that lot.
  3. Fill and seal — material is filled and lyophilized to a single specification, so vial-to-vial mass holds within a narrow tolerance.
  4. Release — the batch is cleared and its COA archived against the lot number.

Reading a purity figure honestly

A purity percentage answers one question: what proportion of the chromatographic peak area corresponds to the target compound under the stated method. It does not describe sterility, endotoxin level, or suitability for any use outside laboratory research. A method that is not run cannot be inferred from one that is — which is why each report names its methods and their limits rather than implying broader coverage.

Net peptide content matters for the same reason. A vial labelled 10 mg of lyophilized material is not necessarily 10 mg of peptide: salt and residual solvent contribute mass. Reporting net content separately is what makes a concentration calculation meaningful.

Batch reports are available on request. Email support@primelabpeptides.com with the lot number printed on your vial and we will send the report for that specific batch. If you are evaluating before ordering, tell us the compound and we will send the report for the lot currently in stock.

Independent verification

Analytical documentation covers what is in the vial. How an order is handled is a separate question, and one we do not self-assess: customer feedback is published on Trustpilot, where reviews are collected and verified independently of us.
